Alex sees a nice position at a company in Utrecht: 32 hours a week, start date by agreement. The requirements: a higher professional degree and three years of experience. That fits!

He applies for the vacancy straight away. He writes a cover letter and attaches his CV.

A week later is the interview. 'Tell us something about yourself.' Alex talks about his work: he works accurately and learns fast. 'When can you start?' 'I have a notice period of one month.'

Then he sends an email: 'Dear Ms De Vries, thank you for the pleasant conversation. As discussed, I am sending you my references. Thank you in advance. Kind regards, Alex Berg.' She will let him know by Friday at the latest.
