Wij zijn een familiebedrijf met achttien medewerkers en werken vooral in de regio Rotterdam en Delft. Onze klanten zijn particulieren, scholen en kleine bedrijven. Wegens groei zoeken wij een servicemonteur.

Wat ga je doen? Je voert onderhoud uit aan cv-installaties en warmtepompen, verhelpt storingen en adviseert klanten over besparen. Je werkt zelfstandig, maar overlegt dagelijks met de planning. Grote projecten doe je samen met een collega.

Wat vragen wij? Een afgeronde mbo-opleiding niveau 3 of vergelijkbare ervaring. Rijbewijs B. Je bent servicegericht en kunt goed uitleggen wat je doet, ook aan klanten zonder technische kennis. Beheersing van het Nederlands op minimaal B1-niveau.

Wat bieden wij? Een salaris volgens cao Techniek, afhankelijk van ervaring. Een bedrijfsbus, gereedschap en telefoon. Reiskostenvergoeding, 25 vakantiedagen en scholing op kosten van de zaak. In eerste instantie een jaarcontract, bij goed functioneren een vast dienstverband.

We are a family business of eighteen employees, working mainly in the Rotterdam and Delft area. Our clients are private individuals, schools and small businesses. Due to growth, we are looking for a service engineer.

What will you be doing? You carry out maintenance on central heating systems and heat pumps, fix faults and advise customers on saving energy. You work independently, but consult the planning team every day. You do large projects together with a colleague.

What do we ask? A completed mbo level 3 qualification or comparable experience. Driving licence B. You are customer-oriented and good at explaining what you do, including to customers without technical knowledge. Command of Dutch at least at B1 level.

What do we offer? A salary in line with the collective agreement for the technical sector (cao Techniek), depending on experience. A company van, tools and a phone. Travel allowance, 25 days' holiday and training at the company's expense. Initially a one-year contract, and a permanent position if you perform well.

Geachte mevrouw De Boer,

Met belangstelling las ik uw vacature voor servicemonteur installatietechniek. Graag stel ik mij aan u voor als kandidaat.

Ik werk sinds drie jaar als monteur bij een installatiebedrijf in Rotterdam, waar ik onderhoud doe aan cv-installaties en steeds vaker aan warmtepompen. Storingen los ik zelfstandig op; bij twijfel overleg ik liever één keer te veel dan te weinig. Mijn diploma heb ik in het buitenland behaald; de IDW heeft het gewaardeerd als gelijkwaardig aan mbo niveau 3.

In uw vacature vraagt u iemand die goed kan uitleggen wat hij doet. Dat is precies het deel van het werk dat ik het leukst vind. Klanten willen vaak weten waarom een ketel afslaat of wat een warmtepomp kost aan stroom. Ik leg dat in gewone taal uit, zonder vaktermen.

Mijn Nederlands is niet perfect, maar in de praktijk red ik mij goed: ik volg momenteel een cursus op B1-niveau en spreek dagelijks met klanten. Ik beschik over rijbewijs B en woon in Delft, op tien minuten van uw vestiging.

For three years I have been working as an engineer at an installation company in Rotterdam, where I maintain heating systems and increasingly heat pumps. I fix malfunctions independently; if in doubt, I'd rather check once too often than once too little. I obtained my diploma abroad; IDW has recognised it as equivalent to mbo level 3.

In the vacancy, you are looking for someone who can explain what they do. This is precisely the part of the job I enjoy most. Clients often want to understand why the boiler switches off or how much electricity a heat pump consumes. I explain this in simple terms, without technical jargon.

My Dutch is not perfect, but in practice I manage: I am currently taking a B1 level course and speak with clients daily. I have a category B driving licence, live in Delft, ten minutes from your office.
