Opiniestuk met ironie

An ironic column: the main message is between the lines

C1 · Advanced · ≈ 27 min

Dutch columnists rarely write directly “this is bad”. They write “what progress!” — and then list facts that make the opposite clear. If you read such a column literally, you might understand it completely wrong. This text is a fictional column in a local newspaper about how the municipality replaced its service counter with a chatbot. Read it and decide: what does the author really think?

Fictieve column
