Podcast: a quick chat between two hosts

C1 · Advanced · ≈ 26 min

A podcast is the most honest hearing test: people interrupt each other, mumble endings, start a sentence and abandon it halfway. You don't need to understand every word: focus on keywords and on the other person's reaction. This episode is about moving from Amsterdam to the countryside, and it contains all the hallmarks of spoken Dutch: nou, zeg maar, hoor, joh, ja precies.

  • Question 1: why did Fleur leave the city?
  • Question 2: what didn't she expect?
  • Question 3: what does Ruben disagree with her about?
  • Question 4: what do they both admit at the end?
  • Question 5: what advice does Fleur give listeners?
