Zaterdag in Arnhem

Show translation (try it without first)

Last Saturday, we went to Arnhem with the whole family. The weather was good, so we took our bikes. It's only twenty minutes by bike from our house, along the Rhine.

First, we went to the market on Kerkplein. Nora bought cheese and flowers, and Mila got a stroopwafel from the vendor. Then we drank coffee on a terrace near the Korenmarkt.

At twelve, we went to Sonsbeek Park. We walked there for an hour and took photos by the waterfall. Mila wanted to go to the playground, so we stayed for another half an hour.

On the way back, we stopped at the John Frost Bridge. I read the text on the plaque: this bridge is famous for events during the Second World War.

By five, we were home. We were tired, but it was a good day. Next week, we'll go to the Posbank — by car this time, because it's too far for Mila.
